Judy Li

Judy Li manages deal flow and drives investment opportunities from first introduction through due diligence to final close. She also cultivates relationships with other investors and innovation partners in the cleantech startup ecosystem. Judy enjoys supporting Energy Foundry’s portfolio and working with entrepreneurs to help grow their businesses.

She first joined Energy Foundry as a Platform Associate, with experience in energy efficiency, sustainable urban development, environmental policy, ecosystem sciences, and community organizing. Her responsibilities included building Energy Foundry’s data management system, seeking strategic partnerships, growing brand presence, and managing a platform of resources for portfolio companies.

Before joining Energy Foundry, Judy worked at Verde Sustainable Solutions L3C, a Chicago-based energy efficiency startup. While her work there focused on sales, she was part of day-to-day startup discussions and has great respect for entrepreneurship.

Before she moved to Chicago, Judy was a Princeton in Asia Fellow with the Natural Resources Defense Council China Program in Beijing, China. While there, she researched and implemented programs in sustainable urban development around transportation, land use, and energy.

Judy received her Bachelor of Science cum laude from University of California, Berkeley, with a double major in Environmental Science and Environmental Economics & Policy, and a minor in Energy Resources. She loves scuba diving and cycling.
